Recently, the YAPU team, led by Delphin Ngamije conducted an intensive, practice-focused training in the context of the implementation of the YAPU software during a visit to our long-standing partner CAURIE MicroFinance in Senegal.
The first three days of the training focused on the theoretical part of how to use the software as well as interpret the integrated climate indicators. To simulate realistic circumstances, a role-play was part of the exercise for the attendees in which they took on the roles of credit agent and client, in order to understand and master the functionalities of the software.
The time in the class-room was followed by an intense 2 day training in the field. The motivated staff of CAURIE tested the digital applications for individual loans, but also for group loans, for agriculture and business with real clients. It was real fun and a successful exercise for everyone. Now, CAURIE can build on its new system and continue on the courageous path of resilience finance.
We were particularly happy to see that the user friendly design of our App speaks to all ages: All loan officers, no matter which age, handled the digital credit assessment without problems and – more importantly – fun! We are impressed by this dedication and motivation and look forward to keeping on working closely with CAURIE in the future.
